Mr. B.K. Prabath Chandrakeerthi Assumes Duties as the New Chairman of Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT)
On 02nd of January 2025, Mr. B.K. Prabath Chandrakeerthi officially assumed duties as the new Chairman of the Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT) at its Head Office. The ceremonial event marked the beginning of a new chapter in the organization’s journey toward enhancing the well-being of plantation communities in Sri Lanka.
Being the existing Secretary to the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure, Mr. Chandrakeerthi brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership in several government organizations. His appointment is expected to further strengthen PHDT’s mission of improving the quality of life of plantation workers by addressing their housing, health, and educational needs.
During the formal assumption of duties, Mr. Chandrakeerthi emphasized his commitment to driving impactful initiatives and fostering collaboration with stakeholders to uplift plantation communities.
The Director General, Head office Directors and Head office staff also present at the occasion warmly welcomed the new Chairman and expressed their confidence in his leadership to steer the organization to greater heights.
