The Inter Plantation Softball Cricket Tournament 2025 in the Kegalle Region was a celebration of sportsmanship and camaraderie among plantation teams. Held on August 2, 2025, at the Public Ground in Ruwanwella, the tournament brought together spirited teams from Malwatte Valley Plantations, Kurunegala Plantations, Kegalle Plantations, Kelani Valley Plantations, and LALAN Rubbers (Pvt) Ltd.
PHDT was represented by esteemed members including the Director of Engineering, Deputy Regional Director, Manager of Administration & HR, and all members of the PHDT Kegalle team. The tournament featured competitive league-stage matches, with each team playing two games before advancing to the knockouts.
In an electrifying final match, Kelani Valley Plantations emerged victorious, clinching the championship title by defeating Kurunegala Plantations. Both teams had showcased remarkable performance throughout the league stages, remaining unbeaten until the final showdown. The tournament not only highlighted sporting excellence but also fostered a sense of unity and sportsmanship among the participating plantation teams and PHDT members.
