On September 4, 2024, an Oral Cancer Awareness and Screening program was conducted by Dr. Randeniya, the Regional Dental Surgeon- Nuwara Eliya, at Gordon Estate. A total of 128 individuals were screened, with 2 referrals made for Oral Potentially Malignant Disorders (OPMD).
Additionally, a Child Dental Care Awareness & Treatment program was held on the same day, led by Ms. Malika, a School Dental Therapist from Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital. This program focused on children’s dental health, screening 40 children & providing treatment to 27 of them.
