Enhancing
the quality of life and bringing dignity
PHDT
has for the past 15 years consistently sought to enhance the quality of lives
of one million plantation worker community, working in consort with organizations
both private and public.
The
variety of inventions of the Trust is drawn on Millennium Development Goals
[MDG] thus creating a supportive environment for building a dignified and
capable community.
Thus
the core activities of PHDT are identified as housing, water and sanitation, childcare
and health facilities, development of Estate Worker Housing Cooperative
Societies [EWHCS], Skill Development, Entrepreneur training, Health programmes
and Social Welfare activities, directed mainly at women, adolescents and
children.
